Barcelona coach Luis Enrique has dismissed suggestions that he has managed to overcome his critics after just one victory over Atletico Madrid.

The Catalan club managed a stunning 3-1 victory which seemed to favour the away team given that Barcelona had the best opportunities throughout the match. Their forward line up comprising of Neymar, Luis Suarez, and Lionel Messi all scored against Diego Simeone’s reigning champions.

This has helped take some pressure away fromEnrique. Barcelona have constantly been in the headlines for the last couple of weeks after they returned back from the winter break with a shock 1-0 defeat against Real Sociedad.

The victory has helped Barcelona move to within just one point of Real Madrid, but Carlo Ancelotti’s team do have a game in hand.Enrique says that he is experienced enough to know that this sole victory will not be enough to convince the press that he is the right man for the job. After a season without titles,Enrique is aware that he can only enhances reputation only by getting Barcelona to title success this campaign. The Spanish club take on Elche in the next match, but this Copa del Rey tie this all but over after a 5-0 win for Barcelona in the first leg.

“Victories are the only thing that can calm this wave, but I am not optimistic. The environment will change again if we lose.I am focused on what I can control, I am focused that we are competitive. At end of season, we will know if we have been able to win titles and that will be the judge of my time.It was a complete game, no doubt.
