As part of our ‘Artist in Residence’ program, Vesna Savic will appear at the Gallery on July 2nd from 6 – 9 p.m. to discuss her metal sculptures.
Vesna begins with sheets of 18 – 14 gauge carbon steel or stainless steel, which she puts outside to rust. She uses no patinas, just natural aging processes, letting the steel decide what it wants to do. Come meet her in person and learn more about her fascinating techniques, as well as the inspiration for her stunning wall pieces.
