Teresa spent many years in small business management before turning her attention to expressing herself through art. After studying color and design as a quilt artist, she turned to painting. Initial forays into watercolor and acrylics soon gave way to pastels. She finds pastels to be a very intuitive and responsive medium, and particularly suited to her love of color. Teresa’s works are inspired by the scenery near her home outside Chelsea, Michigan and by her travels to out-of-the-way places in North and Central America. Her works have been recognized by the Michigan League on the University of Michigan Campus, the Ann Arbor District Library, Ann Arbor Women Artists, the Ella Sharp Museum in Jackson, Michigan, the the ARC Gallery in Chicago, Illinois and can be found in numerous private and corporate collections. Teresa participates with the Chelsea Painters in their Annual June Art Fair in Chelsea.
